Chocolate Almond Butter Marble Cake

But let’s get back to the marble cake we began talking about. We chose to make this cake with 100% whole wheat flour to increase the fiber content in the final product. However, if you are gluten sensitive, feel free to substitute it for a gluten-free flour blend of your choice. Also, you may notice that it calls for 2/3 cups of sugar. We strive to keep refined sugar at a minimum in most of our recipes. However, for this recipe to stand out as a true cake (versus a bread) the sugar was necessary. A good substitution for the sugar would be using a baking sweetener product instead. There are some on the market now made with stevia that work very well for baking. Since this recipe does not require eggs, and you can use whatever milk substitute you prefer: It can be naturally vegan.

A marble cake recipe that is so easy to make! It's a vegan recipe as well made with flax egg and our almond butter. This quick cake recipe only takes a few minutes to make and is great for holiday parties and or summertime feast.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup of whole wheat flour
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 cup of milk of your choice
- 2/3 cups of sugar coconut sugar or your choice of sweetener
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ¼ cup of coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of flax meal
- 2 ½ tablespoons of cacao powder unsweetened

3 tablespoons of Once Again Almond Butter
Directions
- Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a medium bowl and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix in milk, sugar, vanilla, coconut, and flax meal. Now add dry ingredients to wet mix, and blend it until it forms a homogenous mixture (Do not over mix).
- Separate batter into two bowls: In one bowl, add in cacao powder, and the other add Once Again Almond Butter.
- Now one layer at a time, place into 8.5 by 4.5-inch pan and place it in an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of loaf comes out clean.
