Peanut Butter Halloween Brownies

If a spooky treat is what you’re after, then you’ll want to make a batch of these Once Again peanut-butter infused brownies for your favorite ghouls! Once baked, top them with your favorite Halloween-inspired toppings like candy eyes, gummy worms or peanut butter cups.

If you’ve got a large group of trick-or-treaters, double the recipe and bake in a 9x13-inch pan. Happy haunting!
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/4 cups (248 grams) granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup (56 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup (90 grams) flour
- ¼ cup peanut butter candy-coated pieces

- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- ¼ cup peanut butter candy-coated pieces
- ¼ cup mini peanut butter cups
- Candy eyeballs, as desired

Directions
- Coat a 9x9-inch metal baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment, leaving a 2-inch overhang.
- Whisk the sugar, cocoa powder and salt together in a large bowl. Slowly stream in the butter, whisking until fully blended. Add the vanilla extract and then the eggs, one at a time, beating with a whisk until fully combined. Add flour and stir with a spatula or large spoon until just combined. Fold in the peanut butter candy-coated pieces.
- Pour mixture into prepared baking pan and spread out in an even layer. In a small bowl combine the peanut butter and the granulated sugar. Add dollops of the peanut butter mixture to the top of the brownie batter, then use a toothpick or knife to swirl. Bake until top is shiny and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 22 to 25 minutes. Transfer the brownies to a rack and let cool completely before adding toppings and slicing.
