Protein On-The-Go: Our New Packets

Whether your day includes moving kids from sports to music classes or heading out on an all-day hike, you’ll need the right food for fuel. Ideally, it would be something nourishing. Something that provides sustainable nutrition that includes protein for energy to complete whatever task or activity you’ve set out to accomplish. It would also be something that tastes great and is easy to transport, store and use. In a perfect world it doesn’t require refrigeration and it’s mess-free. Luckily that perfect food exists - Once Again High Protein Packets! It checks all of those boxes and more.

Carrying a jar of nut or seed butter isn’t exactly practical, which is why our new protein packets are so handy. They come in a variety of flavors including peanut butter, chocolate peanut butter and almond butter. Since all flavors include additional protein from either peanut or hemp seed protein flour, you’ll also be getting a whopping 8 grams of plant-based protein from each single-serving (32 gram) packet. Road Trips

Packing up the car and traveling is a popular way to vacation. One of my favorite parts of the planning is figuring out which snacks I’m going to bring. As a mom and Registered Dietitian, I always include a variety of foods that will both nourish and satisfy. Once Again High Protein Packets are one of my new favorite go-to’s. Since there’s no mess, I feel good about handing one back to my daughter to enjoy straight from the pack or squeezed onto graham crackers or apple slices. 

Day Camps

If you’ve got kids in summer camps of any kind, then you know how hard it is to pack their lunch. No refrigeration means you have to get creative with what you choose to stash in that brown paper bag. Luckily, our high protein packets are shelf stable, so they’ll be safe for your camper to eat - even on a hot day! They can enjoy them as part of their lunch, but also as a snack paired with pretzels, whole grain crackers or fruit!

Camping

Planning food for a camping trip, especially one where refrigeration is either limited or non-existent can be challenging. Hiking

You can enjoy them right for the packet for a quick and easy boost of energy, and then roll up the empty packet to stash in your bag to dispose of later. 

Sports

Warm weather means more outdoor sports adventures, but fueling for them can be a challenge. To keep the action rolling, you’ll need to stay hydrated, but also choose a fuel that includes a balance of both carbohydrates and protein.
