Once Again Peanut Butter is safe to consume! We know this is a topic of concern for many customers, so we want to explain why you might have heard about mold or aflatoxin in peanut butter. Aflatoxin is a chemical created by mold, which can be dangerous. Aflatoxin can occur in peanuts, nuts, dried fruit, corn, and other grains. Cooking does not destroy aflatoxin. Peanuts are the ONLY foods tested multiple times by the USDA for aflatoxin. Samples are drawn and tested by the USDA at harvest and again after shelling. Because of this extra testing, peanuts and peanut butter are some of the safer foods to consume if you are concerned about aflatoxin. We make sure that all of our peanuts are tested for aflatoxin before we purchase them. But we don’t just rely on that data alone; we also test our peanut butter for aflatoxin after it is produced. Our organic and natural peanuts are blanched to decrease the risk of aflatoxin as it is mainly found in the skins of the peanut. Our almonds and cashews are also tested twice for aflatoxin.

About Our Process

Made by roasting and grinding blanched, dry roasted peanuts until they are wonderfully creamy. We then add our crunchies.
